It’s going to be a great Saturday morning! I get to spend the morning with some awesome teachers at Union University in Jackson, TN. So, “Good morning, Union!” or maybe it should be, “Google morning, Union!” They are taking a weekend class with my dear friend Dr. Anna Clifford, and she asks me from time to time to come spend some time playing with them. I’m so honored that I get to come. I love sharing and I get to learn something, too.
Today, we’re going to tooling around with Google Docs/Apps. In particular, we’re going to take a look at Google Reader, Google Docs word processor, Google Docs presentations, Google Docs spreadsheets and Google Docs forms. I hope we can get through it all.

Dr. Clifford, I’m so glad that you and your students enjoyed our time together. I certainly had a blast! I sure hope that they will be able to take kernels of the workshop and integrate meaningfully into their work. Otherwise, it’s just a fun Saturday morning.

Thanks Dr. Grant for coming to Union last Saturday. I really enjoyed your visit. I learned a ton of new information that will be very useful in the classroom. Thanks for showing us how to do so many new things. It was fun learning about new tools that I can share with my teacher buddies. I am glad that Dr. C invited you!
Your visit to Union University provided me with numerous ideas that I would like to incorporate into my own classroom. My favorite idea was the Wordle. My students would love to see these colorful words on the walls in the school building. In addition, the students could review key terms in a variety of different subjects. As an educator, I would like to use Wordle as different center activities for my students. I really appreciated you giving us different types of technology we could use in the classroom. For example, I had always wanted to show some educational videos that I had found on You Tube. Now, I know that it is possible to view educational videos that I find on You Tube.
Thanks for your wonderfully informative visit. The information that you share about Google Docs was fantastic! I really enjoyed the forms and the ability to make online quizzes. This is an awesome tool that I plan on utilizing in my classroom. I also enjoyed your step by step instructional method encompassed with your magnitude of patience. It was a very enjoyable class. Thank you again!
